This is what happens when a cast iron griddle meets a big toe. I was cleaning the kitchen when I dropped it on my toe. Fortunately neither one broke, which is amazing as that dam griddle weighs a ton.
Take care of yourself..that looks like the whole thing was horribly painful! I hope that you are doing okay...rest a LOT with your Tootsies up!! and read or watch the stuff on the tube that you hardly ever get to see, and take it easy, man! *smiles*
OUCHIE!!!! Been there, done that... LOL... Not with a griddle of course.... But I actually BROKE my toe in highschool, when at a friend's house and a wooden BARSTOOL landed on my toe. The toenail came off, it got all infected, and then I had no nail on that toe for almost a year! It's STILL very sensitive, and that was like, 10 years ago!! Just looking at that griddle and your TOE... *OUCH*!!!!!
Those suckers are heavy! The worst object I dropped on my foot was a picture that fell off the wall. I ended up with four stiches on top of my foot and a nice bruise.
As a little boy I know would say . . .... "it's an owie . . . to the BONE!!!" You are really lucky that it didn't break your toe! Hope you're able to go without shoes so you don't make it hurt even more.
wow you are lucky it didn't get broken, one time I was standing on a stepladder once and it slipped out from under me and I was bruised up pretty bad. Take ibuprofen 200-400 mg .. Something in ibuprofen is supposed to help with the swelling, it is an anti-inflammatory.
