First Sunday of August was declared as a holiday in US in honor of friends by a Proclamation made by US Congress in 1935. Since then, World Friendship Day is being celebrated every year on the first Sunday in the month of August.
Friends come in many shapes, sizes and guises: school friends, work colleagues, siblings, partners, parents, pets and neighbours. Pull out all the stops and let your friends know they are truly appreciated!

Someone bought me a new digital camera for an early birthday gift, however, I haven't downloaded the photos I've taken yet. Silly me. They're not of friends, though.
