Even though I am a grown adult, I still love watching some of my favorite cartoons when I'm going about my business in the house, cleaning, hanging out on Gather, falling asleep at night, etc. I'm not afraid to admit it! LOL! These are my favorite cartoons/children's shows, not in any particular order. Don't forget... I am 28 years old and, born in 1980, so many of your own favorites may not be on this list... What were your favorite programs as a child?
1. Ren and Stimpy.
- a very gross cartoon, but something about these characters is endearing
2. Spongebob Squarepants.

- Patrick is actually my favorite character on this show.
3. Sesame Street.

- who didn't watch sesame street as a child? it sure has changed over the years.
4. 321 Contact.

- this show went off the air in the 80s, but it was similar to sesame street.
5. Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.

- won't you be my neighbor?
6. The Muppet Show.

- oh man! so many characters to choose from! wocka wocka wocka!
7. The Smurfs.

- of course, the old standby favorite. and why was smurfette the only girl?
8. Fraggle Rock.

- what an odd concept for a show, but very good!
9. Clarissa Explains It All.

- i watched this when i was exactly clarissa's age and could really relate to the show.
10. Muppet Babies.

- every saturday morning i watched muppet babies with my sister on the living room floor.
11. Degrassi.
- life lessons galore!

I remember all the shows you listed minus contact and Degrassi (never watched them, but knew about them). The never ending smurf question, why was smurfette the only girl. Someone told me she was part of an experiment that the bad guy (what's his name) created to capture them (I don't know about that though). Ren and Stimpy, I didn't like it, and I wasn't allowed to watch it.
Favorites-Alvin and the Chimpunks, Carebears, Space Cases, Transformers, Gummi Bears, Doug, Hey Arnold, Rescue Rovers, Chip and Tale....
I'm old.
I tried watching some of those but I'm still into some of the cartoons that Donna F. mentioned. Oh, and Underdog, Mighty Mouse, and what was the one with Sherman and a really smart talking dog? Fractured Fairy Tales was cool. Rocky and Bullwinkle. George of the Jungle. Dudley Do Right.
Thanks for the trip in the way back machine. lol
do anyone remember Mr magoo...
Capt. Kangaroo, the Banana Splits, Johnny Quest, Tom and Jerry, Loooney Tunes....you know bugs and daffy and speedy and the road runner,,,,,,,,
I'd have to add Josie and the Pussycats, Scooby Doo and the original Superfriends.
Thank you for posting to tryingfor3000
I don't remember Degrassi but Dad says I've seen it.
