Today my husband and I took our kids to the INJUN JOE CAMPGROUND close to the little town where we live. They have a swimming pool there. Our daughter has been pestering us to go to a big girl swimming pool. We bought her one of those odd looking swimsuits with the life jacket built right in!
Here we are taking off in the car to go swimming! The kids are excited! My son has graham cracker all over his face---just ignore that! Both of the kids insisted on wearing one of their Daddy's hats.

We found out that our daughter is a FISH. This was the very first time she has ever swam with this kind of suit and without a swimming boat. She jumped in the water and took off and was even swimming in the deep end and wasn't afraid at all. I was so proud of her. Daddy and her had a ball in the pool together.

Our son Aidan (two years old) didn't like the swimming pool at all. I tried sitting with him on the steps and splashing a little water on him. We tried putting him in his boat because big sister used to love it in there. He screamed his head off for five minutes and kept yelling, "Out, out, MA MA." So needless to say he spent the entire time playing outside of the water and eating sponge bob crackers!

All in all it was a great family day at the swimming pool. We even splurged for chocolate ice cream cones afterwards. My favorite part was watching my daughter swim for the first time with the help of a life jacket. Very cool for a Mom to see. She even made a new friend too!

On another note, I have had several people comment that my kids look like they are HAPPY all the time. Looks can be decieving. I just didn't take photos of my son throwing a fit in his boat. I also didn't photograph all four of us leaving the pool. My husband and I had to drag two toddlers screaming and throwing fits to the car because they did NOT want to leave! So they are not happy all the time, but the happy moments are the ones I choose to remember.
