One Friday evening, at a rented beach house in Galveston, Texas, three women agree that friendship endures all. Leah Harmon clings persistently to her nightmares as her two friends consider daydreams and challenges, including Jennifer Tate's chronic illness. Despite Leah's insistence that love is an emotional weakness and her attempts to shield her heart at all costs, there is a yearning to embrace love and a lingering hope for happiness. Does friendship endure all? And, can the three women conquer the shadows in their lives and live fully in the light of each day?

Thank you Kerrell. One of the women, the protagonist is rather self-absorbed in her nightmares, but all three learn valuable lessons from each other.

Intriguing -- but since it's a synopsis, you should probably go ahead and give some info about the 3rd woman, yes?

Ah yes, Tracy, you are correct. The third woman is divorced and jealous of her ex-husband's new and cheerful girlfriend. Despite all attempts to try to hate the woman her husband left her for, she finds it's difficult NOT to like her. The novel is about moving on.

Don't you hate when you can't hate... (I knew a guy whose boss was being replaced, and when I asked him how the new candidate looked, he said very reluctantly, "I just can't find anything wrong with him." He was so disappointed!)

LOL, I was looking for a a twist so the relationships wouldn't seem so predictable. Therefore, I have a smiling, lovely new age lady who cares about everyone in the world and very difficult to dislike.
