I'm Going to do the ChaCha!

I've decided to sign up as a Guide at ChaCha.com.  ChaCha is a service that allows people to ask ANY question at ANY time from ANY where from their mobile phone and receive a text answer to their question within minutes!  The Guides are required to answer those questions and get paid a few cents per reply.  Apparently, these replies really add up, and I have read that some people are making $500+/month as a Guide!

I can't wait to get started!  I passed the tests, and I am now officially a Guide.  All I have to do is pick a time I want to get started answering questions.  This would be a great late night money making thing for me to do at the table with my boyfriend while he is playing poker and we are winding down for bed.  It's another job to do where I can pick my own hours and do it as much or as little as I'd like.

Anyone else out there a ChaCha guide?

I used to be a guide until they changed alot of stuff,I failed the test,so maybe One day Ill be able to come back,but you do make good money

I'm gonna look into cha cha. Didn't have a chance this summer to look more into it because we have been so busy.

That's awesome Jessica. I am a ChaCha guide, and it is working out great! I don't spend as much time as others, but it still seems that I can get 100 dollars a month for spending a little time on ChaCha every day....and they pay!

thanks for the comments, everyone! donna: the test really wasn't that hard at all... the only tricky questions are questions about how you would answer a chacha question presented to you... like, what is the best way to answer it the way chacha wants you to, i guess. the only math problem i had was about yardsticks and rulers. i had a couple of history questions. but, the good thing is that you can look up the answers at a search engine somewhere. :)

I have been trying for weeks to take the simulator test and I sit there and wait for the questions to begin and nothing happens! I've done all the things they want me to do to qualify for the test, and emailed them but the email was returned to me saying it was 'undeliverable'. I sure would like to become a Guide so I can earn that extra money we need to buy our first home.

OK -- I have another question -- do you have to pick a schedule and stick to it? I can't work in the mornings sometimes and in the evenings other times?

hey donna! you can simply log in whenever you feel like working. there is a little thing in the corner of your personal page where you can make yourself 'available' to accept work or 'away.' :) hope that helps!

I used to be a Cha Cha guide. Until they changed everything. It got horrible to deal with.

I signed up a long time ago but haven't done anything in over a year there. Things have changed there big time since I was active! Enjoy!! And let us know how you are doing with it

I failed the tests. I'm pretty sure it was the typing one although they don't tell you. I am not a fast typist and I really mess up when someone mentions "timed typing test"! lol

The organization strikes me as being kind of snobbish.
