Seeing movies in the theater

I'm getting ready to leave to go see Dark Knight for the second time. Some friends that couldn't go with us the first night are going with us tonight to see it. So that brings me to my question. 

Have you seen a movie more than once in a theater? If so, which ones?

I've never seen a movie twice in theatres, though I was tempted to with some.

That seems to be the consensus with a lot of people. It's just getting to expensive. The only reason we've gone so many times recently is because of all the comic book adaptation movies. My boyfriend is a huge dork, so there's no way I'm getting out of seeing Spiderman, Iron Man, Batman, whatever man...

I really wish they would do a Green Lantern movie though. My boyfriend's always loved Green Lantern, and regardless of genre, "it didn't have Green Lantern in it"...

I wish I could make a My Little Pony movie and put Green Lantern in it. :)

When I was a lot younger I did that a few times. Like, my parents would take us, and then my friend's parents would take us, too. I specifically recall seeing Titanic and Homeward Bound twice each.

Lately, we never see movies even once at the theater. It is just way too expensive, by the time you consider the babysitter and everything. Our theater is $9 per person, and 30 minutes a way. We would need a sitter for at least 3 hours, at $20 or so an hour, I can't justify spending over $75 to go to the theater. We wait until the movie comes out on DVD, and if we think we will watch it more than once, we pay $20 or less to own it.

I rarely go out to watch movies. Everything is out on DVD fairly quickly, so I just Netflix most movies.

I hardly ever see a movie for the first time in a theater let alone a second time. I haven't even watched a movie in over 3 1/2 years. They all seem to bore me.

I haven't been to see a movie since The Relic. That was so long ago, I don't even remember when it was.

I saw Lord of the Rings twice in the theater. I wish I would have seen V for Vendetta twice. And I may be Dark Night a second time before it leave the theaters. Usually I just wait until movies reach DVD. I'm a big fan of Netflix, and now Redbox. I only see them new if I expect them to be quality.

Nope, once in the theater is enough, especially with high ticket prices. And usually within just a few months, it's on dvd anyway, so even if I miss one I wanted to see, I don't have to wait too long.

We went to see the first Pirates of the Caribbean 3-4 times in the theater...hehe. I'm still waiting to see the Dark Knight.

Not since I turned about 25. Before that, I did it all the time. Whenever I saw a really great action-sci fi, I had to see it more than once. I think my max was 4... I think that was Terminator 2, but I'm not sure.

I'll ditto Deborah and add Harry Potter movies, I love seeing them on the big screen. If the movie is action packed like the last Die Hard and made to be seen on the big screen, then it shouldn't be missed!
