Don't do this to your crayons......

This is what happens to crayons when you leave them outside in Arizona.

When I stopped at Target the other day this is what I found in the parking lot. Being the camera grazed Gather member that I am, I had to take to take some pictures J

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

It was only 103 degrees outside, so I imagine these crayons had been there for more than one day. It looked like there was either oil or liquid wax farther out and then these melted puddles of color closer in to the crayons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can only imagine what they would look like if it was actually hot outside...like 110 or 120 degrees.

Wow. I'm pretty sure my crayons like the AC too much to venture outside, but I'll keep an eye out for them trying to tan. :)
Wow, the last time we were through AZ, we seen some people frying eggs in a pan on the hot pavement.....It was 105ยบ

amazingly the eggs cooked in minutes,,,,,,so crayons wouldn't stand a chance I'm sure

that only takes about 5 minutes in that temp, some parent probally found those melting on their car seats and tossed them out, i know when my kids were little i found them melting in the care several time and had to toss them out 103 that IS HOT!!!

Amazing what the heat can do, I bet it could even fry an egg. I have seen that on TV but never actually tried it.

Oh, wow, that is hot! And I thought I was suffering here, it's about 90 degrees, but we have that awful humidity to deal with.

I have a friend whose son left a blue balloon in the back window of his car, not only did it pop but it melted all over, just like those crayons!
