We are HOPING like crazy thats Kairis eyes stay blue! She is 1 month already and they are very blkue still. The boys eyes were so dark and turning brown by this point so were thinking she is going to keep the blue! My husband said he prayed all the time for it and he would touch my belly and pray for blue eyes baby girl :) I think his prayers were answered!
They look a bit darker in this picture.. they are not quite that dark..

alll my kids have either hazel or brown eyes
Brown is dominant over blue. If both parents' have a recessive gene then she could have blue eyes, too.
For example, if your eyes are brown but maybe you have a blue eyed sibling or parent, you could have BROWNblue. If your husband's eyes are blue, his eyes are BLUEblue. (the only way to get blue is to have TWO blue genes. For brown, you only need ONE brown gene.
Or if you and your husband both have BROWN eyes but have a blue-eyed parent, your daughter could have blue eyes if she gets one copy of blue from each of you to make BLUEblue.
My oldest daughters eyes went from brown to blue in hours, the youngest was born with brown eyes. I have heard that all babies are born with blue eyes but some change quickly but I saw her open her eyes for the first time at birth and they were brown. I have heard it can take up to 2 years, but they really look blue to me. She is a precious doll of a girl there. Dont worry if by chance they do change your husband still got his blue eye girl.
Oddly enough to some I have dark brown hair, my husband is a medium brown, oldest daughter is blonde with olive skin (paternal grandmother) and youngest is a red head. My sister calls us the Clairol Family. I really do have fun going places with them. I get, are they both yours? Same fathers? What is hair color? Even though they were both pretty darn bald for a long time, we could tell early on that she was a red head. People kept asking do you think it will stay that way? Ummm look at her eyelashes and eyebrows, they were like soft copper wires so YES, and we were right. Mother in law said she really thought at least one of them would have hair my color but life is full of wonder and awe.
Deborah.. thats funny.. same situation for my sister in laws and hubby.. there is 7 all together 1 got dark red coarse hair most of the others are dark haired,, Half have brown eyes and other half have blue.. Same mom and dad for them all! its weird!
All my kids have brown eyes. As well as I do..Brown aren't so bad....My husband has blue eyes.
