This Week at CVS

Today was a good day at CVS. I went on my lunch hour and the store wasn't as busy as it is after work. I was also happy that everything I wanted was in stock at the smaller CVS in our part of town. I can remember a time when that didn't matter...it was no problem for me to drive to the other CVS. Now, with gas prices like they are, I hardly ever go to the other CVS.

Here are the deals I took advantage of:
•Band-Aids, these were free after CVS bucks and a coupon from Sunday's paper
•Revlon blush,  used a coupon from two weeks ago and got the price back in CVS bucks, so I made $2
•Benedryl, I bought four 24-packs for $20, used four $1 coupons, so the total was $16 and I got $10 back in CVS bucks

>•Scott paper towels, 8-pack, $4.99 less $1 coupon

>Summer items were just being marked down to 25 percent. Does anyone want to venture when they'll go to 50 percent? Last year, I lucked up and just happened to be at the store the morning summer stock went to 90 percent. I got some beautiful beach towels for a ridiculous price, maybe $1.50.

A heads up: some of my friends have received a CVS survey worth $15 in CVS bucks. I have not been lucky enough to get this one. You might want to check your junk mail boxes just in case!

I got the CVS survey this morning as well.

I also went to CVS to pick up a prescription, but while I was there I saw that our summer stuff had gone to 50%. All the suntan lotions and towels were on super sales. I spent about $50 more than I intended to, but we have a river house and go through towels and suntan lotion through the beginning of October.

I wonder if we can luck out again this year and get there on the 90% day? I was there last year too.

I hope they do the mark downs on summer items around here, as we go to the beach all year round. I just ran into CVS this afternoon, but I only had time to exchange some diapers. They had a sale two weeks ago (I think), where the CVS training pants and diapers were 6 dollars a piece (Huggies 8.99 - 12.99), and then I got 5 dollars back, if I bought more than 15 dollars worth. Of course they did not have the boys in stock, so I just grabbed three packs, so I could get the 5 bucks.

Other than that my grocery trip this week was too fast....I tried to go to the grocery store late last evening, but it was closed down as a crime scene, so my husband came home for an hour today, so that I could run to the store.

Where did you find the Benedryl coupons? Were they internet coupons? If so, I'd like a link.

Dana, I'm thinking the Benedryl coupons were in the paper three weeks ago. They weren't Internet coupons, although you can probably find some by doing a search.

I had forgotten about the candy deal! Now, I've got to go back to get my candy!

I need to go there. I've been on a Walgreen's streak lately, but the last time I was there, the checkout person (not the usual lady) was too busy to check me out and was trying to make me run all over the store to buy my stuff. Not happy. Time for CVS!

I got some band aids there today and recieved 2 cvs bucks...which I used to buy some drinks and chips. I than got 1 cvs buck fr buying two dr.peppers.
