Rust oft signifies the end for nature's plant life.

Whether rusting due to insect damage, lack of water, or even old age, rust can be beautiful, even in death.

I see the beauty but fall still makes me sad- of course this fall I will be welcoming twins to my life so I guess I probably won't be noticing so much the dying of nature outdoors!! Great photo essay and congrats!

Interesting. I'd never thought of taking photos like that. You're right. They are nice. Sort of a beauty to them. I should have taken photos of the leaves when those darn Japanese Beetles ate up everything in sight around here (before I squished them all between my fingers and left their corpses around my plants as warning to others - it worked!!) (LOLOL).

Those stupid beetles are what ate up that grape leaf in the first photo. I spray them with soapy water several times a day then squish 'em. I am on a mission!
