All Hail! Citizens one and all.
We gather for the birthday gala
For she, whom we adore
Arianna, Queen of the Fairies
*********************
We bring to her our heartfelt gifts.
My gift, ‘tis a whimsy, a tapestry
Woven from fine spider web
With these treasures found
On forest floor and shaded glen
Dew drops, fresh from the dawn
Rose buds gathered in spring
Tears of joy, twinkles from happy eyes
Starshine twinkles in the dark of the moon
Dandelion parasols dropped by the breeze
Rabbit foot ferns, bleeding heart blossoms
Rose petal garlands from summer
Nests woven of the finest frog's hair
Tufts of blue bird down, chips of a robin's egg
Rose hips rusty-brown in fall
Moonshine glimmers in the full of the moon
Acorn caps, sparkling with rime frost
Babies' breath picked from the hedgerows
Sunshine glinting on ocean waves
Rose thorns from brambles in winter
**********************
All these things and more I used
To make this tapestry to honor
Fairy Queen, Arianna

I agree with Karen and Bruce it is about time for our Renaissance Fair here in western Washington :)
I have to confess... I've been working on a fairy story for MONTHS now... It's about "New World Fairies" but, strangely, it just keeps getting longer and longer... like it has a life of its own... I dunno at this point if I'll EVER finish it or not...
Anyway - Wanda - I'm dropping by as many of my friends as I can, to say hi before we finally head out on our trip to Germany tomorrow morning.
I'll be back the end of August.
I think I still could do it. I might have to make a fairy ring when we landscape the front yard.
