I learned this handy and useful skill from Landen Michaels, so please please thank him for it. His home page is http://stressedwriter.gather.com/. This is how Landen explains it:
"The HTML code for a clickable link is:
[a rel="nofollow" href="LINK"]TEXT[/a]
except that you should use the carrots < and > in place of [ and ]. I did this, just in case the Gather email system would turn my HTML code into an actual link."
So, type <a rel="nofollow" href="
and then copy and paste the URL for the page you want to link to
and then ">
followed by the text you want to make into the link,
followed by </a>
and be careful not to add any extra spaces.
If you have any problems with creating a clickable link, blame Landen. All I know is that this works very well for me when I send a Gather Broadcasting group e-mail and want the e-mail to link directly to my latest post.

And, Thomas, if you mess up on one part of the formula, the rest doesn't work.
You have to make sure to include your (a rel="nofollow" href inside the symbol and in quotes.)
