It's a brand new week at Rainbow Connections...
And I'm here to tell you that it's time to forget pink and pretty. (Unless your pink flower has a rust-colored center...)

Yes, it's time to forget glitz and glamour.

Time to forget bright, cute and shiny.

This week, we're all about the crusty, trusty color rust.

Rust is a real thing... iron oxide to be exact.

But this week we're looking for the color rust - a pleasant mix of orange and red - whether it be an actual rusty object,
or something rust-colored.

Your pictures don't have to be all rusty. They can be mostly any color with rust spots... They just have to include some rust-color in the mix.

The possibilities are limitless, because the color rust can take many forms...

Often times, rust is found on things that have really been around... as in downright crusty and decrepit.

Or, it can be new and made-to-look rusty.

Yes, rust is sometimes old and crusty, but rust can be beautiful, too.

This week at Rainbow Connections, our colorful competition is all about rust!
Starting today, we'll be posting photos, posts, poems, and any creative endeavors that pertain to the color rust. And just to be clear... your knees (rusty joints) don't count, because they're not rust-colored... (at least, not usually...)
Please come join the fun!
