Today, we decided to go visit our local Nature Center. I purchased a family membership last year for $15 through my homeschool support group. Chattanooga Nature Center is located at the base of Lookout Mountain.

On our way into the center, I spotted a butterfly among the flowers. I was able to quietly get a few shots of it.

Lookout Creek runs through the nature center.

This is an original Cherokee cabin located near the center.

It was a hot sunny day today in Chattanooga, but it was shady throughout the woods because they are so dense with greenery.

This was our second visit to the nature center this year. I took some photos of a few of their birds on our first visit. The photos include the great horned owl, a kestral, and the red tailed hawk. I am republishing them for this article.

We only saw one animal on our visit today. I was able to get one shot of a red wolf that turned out a little fuzzy.

It was raining the day we had our first visit back in May of this year. Today, we got to go explore the boardwalk and treehouse. The treehouse had a beautiful stained glass window in it. You can also see that I am not as fast as my children.
I hope you enjoy some of my photos from our visit.
