All About Jessica: From A-Z

I know these kinds of posts can be annoying at times, but I just wanted to let some of my new Gather friends learn a bit about me since we are all sharing so much of our day-to-day lives.  :)  Feel free to post your own A-Z.  As always, I will comment everyone's last 3 posts who comments below!

A is for age:   I just turned 28.  I'm feeling the old internal clock ticking...  It's saying: Time to get married...  tick tock.  Time to have babies...  tick tock.
 

B is for beer of choice:  I don't drink at all.  I don't have anything against those who do, I just don't like the way it makes me feel.

C is for career right now:  I am a medical transcriptionist.  I sit at home and type medical reports all day...  and then I get on Gather and type comments all day!

D is for your dog's name:  I don't have a dog, but my sister lives with me as well as her dog, Jaeger.  You can see his picture in my profile.  I love him!

E is for essential item you use every day:  My computer!  I'm not sure if I would be a fun person to be around without my daily computer fix.

F is for favorite TV show at the moment:  I don't really watch a lot of TV.  If I want to watch something, I usually put it on the DVR and watch it later.  I love watching movies at home...  cuddled up with my hubby and our cats.

G is for favorite game:  Pictionary!  One of the best party games of all time.  It will never get boring to me.

H is for hometown:  Newport News, Virginia is where I was born and raised.

I is for instruments you play:  I have played the piano since I was 8 years old.  Not to toot my own horn...  but, I'm kinda good.  ;)  I can also play the flute.

J is for favorite juice:  Oh man!  Limeade has GOT to be my favorite these days.  It's so sour and sweet at the same time!

K is for whose butt you'd like to kick:  At this very moment I'd like to kick my own ass into gear!  lol!

L is for last restaurant you ate at:   Outback Steakhouse: Their blooming onion is just so to-die-for as well as the equivalant of an entire day's worth of calories!!  lol!

M is for marriage:    Grrrrrr!  This is a touchy subject for me.  Ask my significant other about this one.  Hmph!

N is for Number of Piercing's:  I have four holes in each ear...  from the bygone era of high school and college when I thought they were "cool."  Now I wish that I only had one.

O is for overnight hospital stay:  Never in my life have I stayed in the hospital overnight.  I hope I never have to unless I'm having a baby!

P is for people you were with today:  My man, Mark.  My cats.  (Because they are people, too)!  My sister's puppy, Jaeger.  (He is definitely a person on the inside)!

Q is for what you do with your quiet time:  I like to take long hot baths with a good book.  Sit on the front porch and watch the goings on in the neighborhood.  Cuddle up in my bed and take a nap.

R is for biggest regret:  Hmmmm.  I'm not sure if I have ANY regrets.  I'm one to believe that there is no point in regretting something you can't change or have no power/control over.  There are certainly things that I would have done differently had I know better, but that is neither here nor there.  I love my life, and all of the choices I've made for better or worse have made me who I am today.

S is for status:  Well, I have lived with my boyfriend, Mark, for the past 4 years....  So, I have a hard time checking the little box next to 'single', because I certainly don't FEEL single.  Marriage is hopefully in my future.  Financial status?  Hmph!  Everyone knows we're in a recession!  lol!  My financial status is proof!

T is for time you woke up today:  I woke up at about 10 a.m. and took care of some errands and chores for the day...  I took a nap from about 1-3 p.m.

U is for if you are unique:  I would hope people think I am unique...  I certainly think so.  I can be funny and serious.  I can be hyper and very calm.  I can be sweeter than honey, but meaner than a hornet if you cross me.  I have very eclectic interests.  I read CONSTANTLY.  I don't drink or do drugs.  I am uniquely me.

V is for vegetable you love:  There are only a few veggies I DON'T like...  My favorite would have to be green beans, though.  They go great in casseroles, and my boyfriend makes the BEST asian greenbeans with miran, sesame seeds...  I can't stand squash (but, maybe it's just the name I don't like...  not sure).  Not a fan of brussel sprouts either.

W is for worst habit:  I say that I don't drink or do drugs, but I do have a pack-a-day smoking habit.  :(  I want to quit badly, but every time I think about it I get a little panic attack and feel like I'd have to say goodbye to an old friend.  I'm most definitely addicted.

X is for x-rays you've had:  Dental x-rays, of course....  My head was x-rayed when I had mononucleosis.  I think that's about it!  I'm a pretty healthy gal!

Y is for yummy food you ate today:  Oreo cookies!

Z is for zodiac sign:  Taurus.  I can be bull-headed for sure.  I'm definitely down-to-earth and possess many of the typical Taurus qualities.
