What activities/ toys should I use to get my son to use both his hands?

Hi all,
We suspect my 6 year old son has a slight case of cerebal palsy in his left hand/arm.  His arm is stiff feeling and it hand looks weak when he uses it.  He has a appt on tuesday to talk to a neurologist (sp?)  and then probably will do physical therapy from there...

I want to get him items that will make him use both hands!  or activities

someone suggested:

moon sand
play doh
guitar

please help thanks

I want to help him strengthen that hand

Do you have a pool you can take him too?

I like Vivians idea of hot potato, I second it. I think that would be a great way.

its ok. I will. They will probably do a eeg on him or whatever its called...where they watch his brain waves. he had one done when he was like 2 ..but we never could get ahold of the test results

I am not sure how old your son is, but the little fishing pole games where you throw out the hook and catch the little fish on magnets is great it is fun and he can switch hands to see which he can catch the most fish in. If he is a little old for that then the real thing can't be beat, the act of throwing out the line and reeling it back in is very easy and very good way to strengthen those muscles.
