My Boston Terrier Tom Tom (AKA Tommy) has an Allergy, to almost everything...

Tom Tom (aka Tommy) went to the vet again Yesterday....Now he can't use Frontline or Advantage....or Revelution....and they want to put him on Comfortis 560mg once a month for fleas...

Poor thing...I feel sorry for him....what if he has an Allergy to this as well....has anyone used this Confortis? And Would you give it to your dog? And is there anything else I could give him or put on him he may not have an Allergy too...

Oh I am sorry to hear he is allergic to everything. I am not familar with that brand. But if it has the same ingrediants as the rest. Than he will break out from it as well.

Poor thing! If it's the pill, be careful! If he's allergic to it, he could have a really bad reaction since it's ingested instead of just put on the skin.

Poor boy. My peke has a problem with a lot of those. He has real dry skin and those irritate it. Luckily he is not prone to fleas so I keep the other animals flea-free and he has no problems. I have heard a few drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid in a bath will kill fleas.

I am so sorry your having problems with the flea treatments some dogs just can't seem to use them hope you can find something that will work. Best of luck to you on helping your dog.

Poor little thing! My princess labrador, Goldie, is allergic to something or things too. They can't figure out what. She gets yeast in her ears, and has "hot spots" on her skin. We do the best we can to keep her comfy, as she is an awesome dog.

I got puggies, and Roxy, my female has dry patches which are very common in pugs, when she gets really itchy she gets a low dose of benadryl and we use oatmeal doggy shampoo, vet said we could use aveeno oatmeal bath but its nasty to get out of her coat. Hub takes care of all puggie stuff, I think he uses the Revolution for fleas. Whatever they get is in a pill because she won't eat the meaty ones and she is allergic to Heartgard, something in it makes her hurl. Max will eat anything that smells like beef! lol

Oh yea Melissa, Roxy has that yeast problem in her ears too, did you get the solution from the vet to clean her ears?
