Let me set this up.
I live in a townhome complex. My sister lives in the row of townhouses just behind my own row. I have to walk across yards of grass to get to her house.
Tonight it has been pouring down rain. So, I grab my hoodie, throw on my sneakers, and head out the door to hang out at her house for a bit. As I'm walking across the yards it is really dark and my foot gets sucked into a bottomless pit of muck and water that I didn't see! Grrrr! All the way up to my ankle!
THEN, I'm walking along the sidewalk near her house and accidentally step on a GIANT slug! UGH! This thing was like the grand-pappy slug of all time. Probably about 5 inches long! Go figure I step on the patriarch of the slug world...
To top it all off, I knock on my sister's front door only to realize that I have stepped in a brand new, fresh, stinking pile of wet CAT POO!! WTF? How could I have stepped in three of the grossest things imaginable in a 1.5 minute walk from my own back door to my sister's front door?
This got me to thinking... You know that old supersition that bad things always happen in threes... Do you think that is true? Do you think the universe is set up to cycle in certain ways such as that? Do GOOD things happen in threes? Maybe we just don't notice that good things happen in threes as well because we take those things for granted a little more...
Hmmm. Something to ponder. Comments are welcome. I'm curious what everyone thinks!
