Bookwormed (July 23, 2008)

Between LoGL and trying to sort through books, I got very little of my intended to-do list done, unfortunately -- and I'm still going through a not-quite-literal mountain of books to list. Many of them are Vietnam War stories, so if you're interested in that sort of thing, you should check out my Half.com store and see if there's anything there you might like. Actually, if you're a used/discount book lover, you should probably do that anyhow. I'm going to be taking a trip to the post office to send out Pigs in Heaven to the winner of our last BiblioPhoenix used book giveaway, as well as to ship a few purchases from my store to people, so now's a good time to get in there and buy. (And hey, if you buy a lot, the shipping is much cheaper, you give a lot of saved-from-the-landfill books a good home, and I get paid. What's not to like?)

Heh heh.

Anyhow, on a more serious note, here's my to-do list:

BiblioPhoenix. I'm adding a lot of saved-from-the-landfill books to my store (and I mean that as in 'if I'd waited an hour or two, they'd be in a garbage truck en route'), so of course I've got to talk about it. Plus, I've got another book giveaway to set up.

Comment Speedway. If I can get through the used-book mountain, next up is Help These Articles (due from Monday) and Help These Images (due today).

Chain Game. I also owe The Chain Game Chain Game Classic (due from Monday) and Chain Game One-Offs (due today).

Group Moderation. It's big, it's bad, and it's out there - my groups need moderation! Or at least clearing for content.

So any way you look at it, it's going to be a busy day. I'm also waiting to hear back from Targus - they're the company that produces the AC adapter my wife's laptop uses. Apparently the little plug that connects the adapter cable to the computer is bent out of shape, so it needs to be replaced, and so I'm trying to get these people to sell/give me one. I really don't want to plunk down $40+ that I don't have to get another adapter, after all. (Plus, if I get rotten or good customer service, I can probably get an article out of it, so...)

More after I get all of these books listed, heh heh.
