My son's girlfriend, Allison S., is visiting from Memphis. They have known each other - via internet - since they were just kids. Well, probably 13ish. Now they're 22 (her) and 24 (him). They lived together in Memphis and here in Cincinnati for a while. But she's been back in Memphis for a while and he's been here. She visited probably 6 months ago. And she's visiting again this week.
I think yesterday was the 5 year anniversary of them finally meeting face-to-face. As far as I know, they're planning on getting married one day in the future. ![]()

Derek and I picked Allison up at the airport yesterday. The plane was late, of course. And they were both hungry. Probably didn't eat much the day before or that morning from being nervous - her about flying and both of them about seeing each other again.Â
Â
I waited in the car while they went into Taco Bell for food for us all. Taco Bell is more likely to get his vegetarian order and her vegan order correct if they're standing at the counter.Â
Â
Here they are, walking and talking and probably unaware of the camera.

And here she is getting into the car.Â

I've missed having Allison around. Sure wish she would stay a while. ![]()

But she'll be heading back to Memphis on Sunday. When they do decide to get married, they don't want to be in Cincinnati or Mephis. They've tried them both. They might consider Texas - where Derek lived a huge chunk of his life. Or they've been talking about someplace in Arkansas. Have any suggestions?

Maybe a smaller town near a big city? With mostly warm weather and no or not much snow? Where the cost of living isn't as bad (as the big cities)...and yet, the pay scale is okay too? Is there such a place???
