On Sunday, I set out at 8:20am to go flea marketing. One of my best friends came with me and I ended up finding a couple of goodies! I don't go very often (you have to be careful in these economic times with spending and traveling). My first find was a guy I regularly go to who has a bunch of video games and I always grab several SNES titles off him. I didn't get Goof Troop, Cool Spot or Gradius III but I grabbed Toy Story for the SNES. My mom rented it for me when I was little, and I always had trouble during the race with buzz...and when I was playing it last night I still had trouble (I died).
We went through the flea market and it started to get hotter, so we made our way back to the car to get drinks before going to the other flea market when two plushes caught my eyes; Simba and Nala! The man wanted $5 for the pair and after a little thought, grabbed them. ^_^
We went to the other flea market in the area and I managed to get earrings, two more games, and highlighters. We waited for our other friend to get off work and then we went back to the other flea market and I grabbed a book from the bookstand. By then, I had a really bad sunburn, which was good strangely (I can only tan if I burn, I'm very very fair skinned which is why theres a lot of make-up products and skin lotions I'm allergic too).
I didn't find any carebears like last time though. I did see a dancing wish bear, but a woman saw it before me and grabbed it. I saw some smaller plushies, but I'm more interested in the ones like I got last time.
While we were there, my other best friend wanted to go to a big video game booth they have there. I don't like it because the woman who runs it is overpriced and lies. She has glass cases where she keeps so-called 'rare' games and in fact, most of them aren't rare just uncommon or common. She also marks all over the older games in permenant marker that doesn't come off.
We were leaving and while we were there, there were two guys (who looked in their teens) and one had a daughter who looked around 3. He made a comment to one of us and said, "Oh, the original Nintendo, bet you don't remember that! That came out in 1985!" (We both look in our early teens, so its an easy mistake even though we're 20 ^^;)
As we left he approached us and said, "Hey can we have your numbers?" We didn't respond (bad vibe) and went to the book stand and we all got a couple of books. As we were browsing again the same guy approached us again and said, "Hey, if you wanna give us your numbers we can play games sometime". We said no thanks and they left with "oh, guess I'll just play with her (daughter). We went back to the car and started pulling away to go home when one said, "those guys are watching us." I stopped and they yelled to keep going *completly confused*. After we got back on the road they said they looked behind us and the same two guys were sitting in their car idling and once we started moving they starting following us! It was very creepy.
