Peter I tend to agree for the most part. Although I am one that does not fit that. I am not a passive person at all. I also know people who have no aggressiveness in them at all.
I would say 50% passive and 50% assertive. I would not say I am aggressive though, but when it comes down to it I can get things done and get people to move.
hummmm, can I be all of those adjectives? I am very passive most of the time, people tend to take advantage because of this, and I really know but don't mind so much. Then, when I decided there is something to be done, I am very assertive of the idea and the goa. Then as for agressive, I think that kind of goes with being assertive, for to be assertive and reach the end result you have asserted to get to , you must use some form of agreesion, right? I'm usually assertive - but if I don't care about the outcome too much, I tend to be mellow to the point of passive. I'm almost never aggressive unless I think the situation is unfair.
I fluctuate between passive and assertive depending on the situation and the other persons involved. I was a teacher so I expect someone else to listen when I am answering a question for them but I try not to educate the world even when I feel they might need it.

Assertive mostly.......Agressive when someone has taken me for granted or lied to me or stole from me....I just hate it when someone thinks they can get away with those things because I am a very nice easy going person just with an assertive way that might come off as passive to agressive people......so I am sure I swing from being one to another......got that?

An example was when in high school, my sister Melissa had come home crying, and I was sitting on the couch watching tv. I asked her what happened. She told me a neighborhood boy pushed her off her bike and made her hit a metal fence. It was the same boy who had picked on her before. I was so angry that I found him and beat him up. That taught him not to mess with my sister.
Depends on the situation. I'm normally passive but if it involves my family, friends, loved ones or elderly and children I can go from passive to aggressive in 1.0 seconds.
