Zombies are cool

I'm a zombie freak.  I have been since I was a little girl and got the wits scared out of me by a zombie movie called "children shouldn't play with dead things".  I searched for years for a copy of it but couldn't find it.  A few years ago a guy found it and gave me a copy of it on our first date.  I realize most girls would rather have candy and flowers, but I liked this much better.  It showed me he was paying attention to what I love.   He actually still means the world to me.  He shares my love of anything horror related.  Luckily my brother and niece to also, so I have my pic of people to watch them with.

I don't care if it's a bad zombie movie, i'll love it anyway.  I plan to be a zombie one year for Halloween if I ever have a place to go.  That way I can be a zombie and not have to worry about that whole eating brains thing.  That and my flesh really won't fall off.  I have my old wedding veil, I could be a zombie bride.  I could wear my old cap and gown and be a zombie bride.  The possibilities are endless!  I also have a cow costume, so I could be a zombie cow!  I can see it now, "MOO! arrrrgh" Ok, I think it's funny!!

I love horror movies.  I just wish they all didn't have to filmed in the dark.  With my eye problem I miss alot of stuff that happens.  I understand though that it's to set the mood.  I hope to find some like-minded horror lovers for this new group I created, ~Zombies!!!!!

I love horror movies as well. Espically vampires. I have seen nearly all vampire movies made. I say nearly cause I am sure their might be some I have missed. LOl.

I have 4 versions of Dawn of the Dead, Romero's official okey-dokey version of Night of the Living Dead, Land of the Dead, and Diary of the Dead. Also the video game Dead Rising. I have read The Zombie Survival Guide, and World War Z. I have seen, but do not own Zombie and many of the Italian Zombie films.

Zombies are something we had better learn to wrap our heads around. They are inevitable. Gene splicing, genetic bio engineering of livestock, drug resistant germs, plastic contamination that mimics the effects of hormones and the introduction of drugs like viagara into the water supply are going to reanimate the dead sooner or later.

I've been practicing my zombie look. When we're overrun I'm going to try and blend in. :)

l think zombie movies really scared the crap out of me. growing up dracula was a romance movie, the wolfman was crazy, frankenstien was tragic, godzilla was too sci fi, the movies like halloween and friday the 13th were just stalker slasher movies.

but zombie movies did scare the crap out of me, they reminded me of the mummy movies too, unstoppable killing undead beings. my first zombie movie was the 1978 dawn of the dead which i still think is the greatest horror / zombie movie ever.

also zombie movies i think are very socially concious for us all. in dawn of the dead it showed the zombies walking mindlessley in the mall, isnt that us most of the time when we are there and day of the dead (1985) doesnt that movie show sometimes we arent worth saving.

but my favourite zombie movie scene is shawn of the dead

I watched Land of the Dead last night. It wasn't bad. Its a George Romero, someone who knows zombies. There were a lot of funny moments too. I like my zombies with a dash of humour.

Thriller BABY!!! no you gotta see Zombie by Lucio Fulci. the ten minute scene it takes the chick to get her face/eye jammed on a spike by a Zombie into her home's door is priceless. Zombies are cool until the start running at you. then that's just gay....you're a necrophiliac....eeeewww issues of obsessiveness, and clingy-ness for you, I see.

I liked Amy C.'s comment. In The Land of the Dead Dennis Hopper says Zombies, they creep me out. which always makes me burst out laughing! George Romer definetly has a sense of humour. Oh, and the Sean of the Dead guys are in it also, which is pretty cool. Laura, I just bought a DVD version of Night of the Comet. Have you seen that? I am not sure if its technically a zombie movie or not, but its fun. Hubby gives me a hard time about enjoying horror movies (especially zombie movies). I think dentistry is scary. There is that scene in Final Destination 2 and in The Marathon Man. OM! I saw The Marathon Man in the theatre and spent at least half of the movie in the lobby waiting for my (then) BF to come out!

yep I saw it, night of the comet that is. I just don't remember much about it, it's been so long since I saw it. I can't recall if there are zombies or not. guess i'll have to rent it then huh? I love all zombie stuff. Not sure what it is.

Some where out there is a James Bond movie, can't remember if it was Sean Connery (the hottest one of all) or the one who came after Connery. Anyway, it takes place in Jamaica or Haiti. There is this really bad guy who does voo-doo stuff and I seem to remember them pushing the idea of zombies, it was so freakin' scary.

I'm pretty sure you saw and commented on my daughter's zombie pinup photos, but if you didn't you would love them! I have a photo essay on here about Rozi Zombiefied somewhere.
I love Shaun of the dead. It is so funny. there is a video that was on you tube that had Nick Frost and Simon Pegg telling you how to survive a zombie attack. i don't know if it's still there but you should check it out.

I never did get into the zombie or vampire shows. I'm more of a could-actually-happen horror flicks person. But it is nice to get to know you on here, and to see what other people like.

Kelly! Yes that is the best new zombie movie. I love George Romero films because he always has a hidden social message if your paying attention but if your not it's still good fun. I was once interested in going to Tom Savini's make up school but it was too far away I didn't have the money to relocate and pay the school fee's. I have seen many horror movies and been to a few conventions. If I can find any of my pictures I'll put them up!

I've always been fascinated by vampires :-)  PIF

I never really appreciated zombie movies until lately. Now I love zombie movies, books, etc.

There is a fun band call the Zombeatles that cover Beatles tunes costumed as zombies. Check out their video " A Hard Day's Night of the Living Dead" on YouTube. The lawnmowing scene is hilarious. Stupid but enteraining.
