Wow, if you haven't seen Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker, you need to go. He was very, very good. I went on Thursday night to the preview, where people were dressed up in their dark attire - gothic dresses, joker costumes, batman costumes, and other strange attire. It's all part of the experience though.
The pyschotic manor in which the Joker was portrayed was brilliant. He also seemed to have a bit of a symbiotic relationship with Batman as well in that he didn't want to kill him because "he was too much fun." I loved when he told a different story every time about his scars and how he got them. That was priceless, but my favorite part by far was his walk away from the hospital in scrubs, and being upset about his bomb not going off properly.
For those stating that the role didn't kill him, mainly his co-actors, its hard not to believe after watching the performance. It will certainly go down as a truly great performance and may win him awards post martym.
