But, have you ever looked at your food? I mean REALLY looked at it? Mother Nature has given us clues as to which fruits and vegetables help which organ/body part. All you have to do is LOOK.
Did you know?:
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... and we know that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food. Not to mention all those antioxidants(cancer preventers) they contain.

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas, which produces insulin, and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm to overcome male sterility.

Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look like the mammary glands (breasts, boobs, hooters, etc...) of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymphatic fluids in and out of the breasts.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. Research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed a pure heart and blood food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles and folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neurotransmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like ...your neighbor's pool.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb resemble bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these ribbed veggies are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus mak
ing them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female and they resemble these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. How coolis this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit.

There you have it. Nature has given us a multitude of clues to keep us healthy, if you just take the time to look.

I also believe that our bodies crave things when our bodies need it. Like I have been on an avocado kick for months - eating 2 of them a week on average. I believe my body needs what the avocado offers at this time.
I know exactly what you mean. A few weeks ago, my workplace sponsored a blood drive. All that week I had been craving liver and onions, but I ignored the craving, because it is so high in cholesterol. Lo and behold, I was not able to give my pint of blood because my iron was too low...should have had the liver...
Wonderful article, Donna! I will have to show this to a friend of mine. She will love it too.
Well, nanners contain a lot of potassium, which helps prevent "charlie horses"..They do resemble your calf muscle, if you look at them right,,,lol
Today, I will also go to Vitamin World to get vitamins and Ginseng capsules from China. They work marvels. I put them in juice or green tea with lime or lemon or drink straight from the capsule.
When I was pregnant I had a UTI and the doctor said "Cranberry juice." I drank it, the UTI went away.
I try to have about 80 percent of my diet as fresh fruits, salads and legumes.
Everyone has to cheat once in a while. I often put fresh citrus in my beer or wine cooler, always put it in tea. Usually on my salads, chicken, rice and legumes, too.
I also eat nuts and raisins every morning.
Yep, plants are our best friends. Medicine is made from plants.
Yep, cranberry juice is a godsend for bladder problems..I drink a glass every day and have only had one UTI in my life....and with all that citrus, you must have the healthiest boobs in Gatherland.

Steve,
Carrots are rich in vitamin A, which is also a "retinoid" (think: retina)...which helps in preventing night blindness and strengthens the optic nerve.

your articles/posts are very interesting.
Leave it to Nature to supply visual aids for us dense humans! LOL! Thanks for this great article!
I never thought about harmony of this. You put food in front of me, and I eat it. (This is a comment link for A Stone's Throw Away. It was written for you're entertainment. Don't click this link until you're in the mood to be entertained.)
Thank you for helping with the real food reminder - LOL
Me, I grow much of my own food when I can. That way I know what is in it and I try to get the family to eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies.
Thanks again.
Organically yours,
Diana
