I was sitting so sad and lonely
Where you came from, I couldn't tell
But as I sat there I began to listen
To a master weaving words with skill.
Your words, they spoke, with colors sweeping
They were dancing, playing out the intricate spell
And you thoroughly mesmerized me
With the song of words you began to tell.
A story of a lovely lady, found among the lost souls torn
Holding to hope, instead of sadness, in her dark and dismal cell.
Now a story of sadness, a love soft spoken in the darkness
With the tears bubbling from unknown well.
There were others, too many to mention
Spun across the distance, no time can tell
And my heart and mind were captured
Thoroughly by this poet's spell.
His words caressed, enticed and lured me
Beyond my world where darkness dwells
And he wrapped his words so carefully around me
To heal the wounds and sadness quell.
Little did he know the danger of reaching out
Even though his words were crafted well
For instead of quietly giving into darkness
She began to hope that, someday, love might return as well.

Listen to the heart of bliss.
Lie on open sand, feeling
ocean breeze, smelling vibrance
under oceanic starlit sky
breathing eternity, opening
inward to see intricately
expansive visions -- poetry
of thought in magical splendor.
All art is magical; all magic is art.
Yet they are not the same, and part
of a grander landscape.
