We are moving to Indiana in 1 month (from arizona)

I haven't been on Gather in ages, *gasp* things have been sooo crazy around here! It is true we are leaving the only state we have ever lived in behind. We have found some bigger and better opportunities so we are jumping right in to the unknown and leaving our life in Arizona behind.


I have NEVER been to Indiana and now I am finding us a rental home there and preparing to move our entire lives. We are buying a used Winnebago to drive ourselves our 4 cats, 1 dog, 2 finches and a bunny 1500 miles over the course of 1 week.

Of course I plan to photograph and write about the journey on my personal blog www.harvestofdailylife.com, it is overwhelming and exiting all at the same time!
*deep breath*

So, what is new with you guys? Got any sugesstions/ recommendations for us?

Wow! isn't it suppose to go the other way, from Indiana to AZ? lol Oh well we must go where the opportunities are! It won't take a week to get there, it only took us 3 and 1/2 days from PA to AZ, but of course my hubby isn't driving you! LOL!

If I had to live in the USA, Arizona would be the only state I could live in. I'm in Canada, and my husbad's in Arizona. I LOVE Arizona!! I spent the better part of last year, in AZ.

I agree. Buy a snow shovel, and DIG IN!

I am used to snow, we get it here... I was told our particular city in Indiana gets LESS snow than we already do here in Flagstaff, AZ... Snow doesn't scare us!

I love Arizona also, we just can't afford to live here anymore.

What part of Indiana? My brother lives in West Lafayette and he really loves it there. I've liked all the parts of Indiana I've visited so far (I'm just to the north in Michigan).

I have been to Indiana three times in the past month, I love southern Indiana near the Ohio river. What town are you moving to? There is alot of beautiful land there.

I hope you like basketball! I lived across the river in Kentucky for many years. Never had any interest in Indiana.

Keep us posted how the move goes. I kinda know what you feel, leaving the only state you've lived in. I have never lived in any other state other than MI. I'd love to move to a drier climate, though not a hotter one.
