Stone Garden publisher Kris Stamp was interviewed for associated content by a Stone Garden author Jenny.  So when she asks what author has given him a hard time and he answers JENNY - it's a "ha ha".

It was an interesting interview. It is so difficult for a writer to break in now that all of the independent book stores seemed to have disappeared. I miss the little book stores. None where I live.

Around here in Minneapolis, not only are the small bookstores gone, our downtown Borders left. It's all going Walmart or the internet.

I like Borders.com. I don't mind getting things in the mail. And I have to do SOMETHING with my Gather cards. ha ha.

Borders is expensive! So, is Barnes and noble. What happened to Amazon.com? Are they being boycotted?

I think the Internet has supplanted the small bookstore, but the good news is, it's sure easier to find out of print items now, and prices are much better. A local used bookstore, sort of a legend around here, recently closed its doors, but the owner is continuing the online side of it through Abebooks.com. That's something, yes?
