Some of the names I see and hear this day and time. I cannot imagine how the pareents came up with them. How they even taught their little kindergarden kids to spell their own names. Gosh in the first grade they are trying to get through the Dick and Jane books and Spot, come her Spot. Run Spot run. That was the reading book for the first grade back in the day. Why not name a kid Ray, or Jim, Jill or Kim something easy to say and others to remember.

There is a town called Toad Suck about 100 miles from here.
Ned Dingledine has to be strangest name I've heard. He was a school mate of mine.
