Again, Republicans ranked low with no comments

Republicans and right wing concepts are given low rankings in an attack that is beyond ignorant.  I don't think these "rankers" care what the article is about.  They care to discourage freedom of speech by attacking in herds.  I have a new friend and if you're interested, I'll privately email you who she is.  She has no comments save mine, and ranksings of ones. 

Gather needs to revamp the ranking system.  If there is no comment, then, there should be no ranking.

I don't even allow rankings anymore on anything. I am not giving them the satisfaction of looking at the title and deciding they don't like it without actaully reading the content. The rating system is stupid anyways. If someone does not like your opinion you get a 1.( not from everyone. Of course there are some people who use the system correctly) On the flipside if you are popular and post something as simple as name a word with an a in it then you get an automatic 10.

The ranks don't matter and a lot of Republican articles get comments. If this one person isn't getting comments then maybe she just needs to do something different. Maybe better titles or something to attract attention.

And if you think only Liberals attack Republicans at Gather then you need to get out more. Jeez.

How is her freedom of speech being squashed? She has this on her article:

If I don't like what someone is saying, but they did so I a reasonable manner I see no reason to give them a poor rating. I either skip it all together, or give them a good rating, then note on my comments that I don't agree with the viewpoint. Only 2x have I given a poor rating, once I was insulted in a childish manner, for making a simple non-combative comment. In the other case the article itself was mean spirited.

I am an Independent, and have been for many years. I want the Republicans out of the White House very much. I feel the current administration & several of the Rep. Senators have angered many Americans, and a backlash is to be expected. I agree though, that people should not be targeted, simply for having a differing viewpoint.

By the way the 2x I mentioned above did involve Republican publishers. They are doing their party a disservice, by behaving in such an ignorant manner. Perhaps, these folks spurred these attacks, with poor behavior. Mind you, I am certainly not grouping you or your friend in with them. I have never seen any articles of yours that warranted attack.

See, I don't give a darn about ratings. Now if her articles aren't getting any comments....that would bother me. Does she have a lot of connections? Are the articles just as bad as all of the mudslinging that comes from the other direction?

PM me and I will check them out. At least we can get another republican to comment:)

Just because a person disagrees with an author's opinion doesn't mean they should rank the article low. By doing so demonstrates the lack of intelligence and critical thinking skills of the person who rated the article.

I do not allow ratings on articles I write re: politics, especially if it is controversial, such as a diatribe about B. Hussein Obama or Islamofacism. There is a lot of scum on Gather that will drive by and rank you low because they are haters; they despise the fact that an opinon other than theirs is being expressed.

I don't go the route of pre-approving comments because I want these jack-asses to be exposed for the a-holes that they are.

If I read an article I always give a 10. I have never gave a low rating. But I get a lot of low ratings. Mine are from the Obama people - - - Now Queen Carol you know what happoned to Henery the 8th wife when she messed around behind the Kingd back. Her lost her head

I agree. If I can't give a 10, I don't comment. We're supposed to be here for encouragement and help, not to be torn down. That's just cruel.
