It would be nice to be able to pay the bills. But even more than that, it would be nice to be able to afford to do a few things that really enhance my life experience. And, I don't need much money, either!
1) Butch Walker is coming to Atlanta July 26-27. I love Butch. Ken and I could both go for less than $60.
2) We have a free certificate for 2 nights/3 days in Myrtle Beach (no timeshare pesentation or other strings.) I crave the ocean.
3) DragonCon is coming up. We're going ,but I'm not sure we're going to be able to stay in a hotel. May have to go the 20 miles there and 20 back every day.
4) Henry Rollins is going to be in Atlanta September 25. I really want to go. I'm trying to win tickets, but that seems iffy.
5) ParaNexus is having a convention in October in Tampa. As assistant editor/editor in training of the ParaNexus Journal, I get in free and probably Ken, too. We have a probable free room if we share with one friend, and I still think we may not have the gas money to get there.
So, I'm writing these down basically as a statement to the Universe. I need money.

I do this, Boomertowne, my paralegal job, my online research job, my books, Associated Content..you name it, I'm doing it. I get a lot of stuff free, and I really do appreciate that. I just have serious wanderlust and concert fever:)
Here's Step Three of "Moneymaking Habits" from the book, on p. 204:
"Decide how you will earn this extra money. I've emphasized again and again that you can't get something for nothing. You must have a plan."
Here's a ten for ya!
The economy is in the sewer. Don't worry, though; Rush Limbaugh says that we are the envy of the world.... I'll keep that in mind when the student loans kick back in and I still don't have a steady income.
