I sent out an email to some of my email contacts with this heading, explaining that besides my family visiting and my cousin( who passed sunday morning) with cancer, that my back went out on me in a HUGE WAY and I am now house bound for two more days with no prolonged setting or standing, off work for 5 no lifting, bending, squating. and no lifting over 5 pounds for 7.
The med's they gave me( the light weight who takes nothing stronger than an ibuprofen) made me very ill and dizzy thru yesterday evening.
I put on quite a show taking my perscription in to work on the way home from the hospital..being unable to walk( pushing me in in a wheel chair to drop off my perscription and work waiver) and puking( luckily into a waste basket)!
I did spend some time with my visiting family....mostly, laying in bed in their hotel room....that had to be fun for them..tried to get out a few times...but I am sure I just ruined any potential fun ,till I would give in and go back to the room while they took the boat back out...
Last year when they visited I did a short article about Life on the Taneycomo...we had such a good time.....

This year all I can offer is a few pics I took from the dock, and some of the fog.....mostly taken by my neice on my camera.
The first catch off the dock...lol

the fog that sets on the water in the morning and late evening

I haven't been able to get into my garden for a week now.....it is suffering more than me....
I cannot even stand to look out the window.....for sure, this will be a test of survival for it.....
On the up side....I did get to see pictures of my neices city garden plot(s)..she now has four....2 which have taken first place in contests sponsored by the missouri botanical garden....I am so proud of her....most of her garden is from my seeds and plants with the help of her fathers wondeful gardening know how..
We feasted on two of the first tomatoes that had come from her garden( my plants) and a huge zuchinni also from her garden( from my seeds) and the last batch of green beans I was able to pick from my garden( which needs picking again..any volunteers?)
And another gardener at her garden requested some of my cherokee purple tomato seeds for his mother, which also made me very proud, this was my first year to save seeds! I had a few left so off to St Louis they went...I feel like Johnny Appleseed!
Well its back to bed with me....but I did want to say, I sent off for my home depot card...finally, which will purchase the final blocks for more footings for the addition to the house. Boy did I earn those!

I can be there by ten, pick your garden clean, water it like a herd of firemen, and do your dishes, sweep the floor, scrub the bath. Put on coffee and feed you good doctor-style drugs.
And still be back at home by 9 pm.
You got my cell number, right? And my work number.
Just shout out, little sister.
Blessings,
Wilka
