This is what I've been talking about Carol. This doesn't show sense, it shows nonsense. I still haven't decided who to vote for but after seeing crap like this I'm leaning towards Obama. If the New Yorker had run a cover like this about McCain, I'd be leaning towards McCain. This is mudslinging at its worse. I had higher expectations from Gather members.

I am tempted to start a subscription myself. For years we have had to see our side mercilessly satirized by the MSM, in cartoon, commentary, and comedy. It started years ago with comedian Rich Little (a Canadian, btw) doing impersonations of Richard Nixon, then it was Chevy Chase doing those stupid Gerald Ford pratfalls; nevermind that Jerry Ford had more brains in his penis than Chevy Chase had in his whole body.

Reagan was always portrayed, by Sam Donaldson of ABC Snooze as a doddering old-goat. And the "W" as Hitler slander, both as "serious" political dissent, and comedy has been plentiful.

So I say to all of those limp-wristed liberals who have their cotton panties in a bunch because their black, skinny-assed candidate was portrayed in his native costume....

The New Yorker wasn't making fun of or attacking Obama. They are making fun of Fox news and all the lame brains in this country who beleive the cartoon proves Obama is a Muslim. The New Yorker doesn't do slapstick they do "subtle" humor. You have to think about it. That is why it didn't go over. A lot of people don't think in this country they just do whatever Rush, Dick or George tell them to do.
