I'm looking at 43 on Friday
Some life?
and I've been out of work since January
Some life?
My sister and her Christian friends have been praying for my bi-sexual soul
but won't help with food
Some Life?
My brother wanted me to help him with his re-election campaign
but won't help me keep the electricity on
Some Life?
the things I count dear?
1. My partner
2. My dogs
the rest of the good intention brigade and can get bent!

I have a question:
my brother wants to take me to my mom's grave and then to lunch.
Tell him to shove it?
or take the free meal?
And NYAH NYAH I beat you to 43 by six weeks!
and I love it!
oh and i took many a free meal just to hear how everything i was doing was wrong
I do have a couple of wonderful bff's that have hung with me and of course my kids.
Family - Nope.
Visit your Mother's grave with your brother. It somehow feels very important, though I don't know why.
How I think God feels about you:
Let me love you true, let me rescue you
Let me lead you to where two roads meet
O come back above
Where there's only love
And the ground's beneath your feet
They're U2 lyrics, but sometimes those sound like scripture to me. :) I think you are much loved. As for your family not helping you, you have a family here on Gather. How can I help you?

Real family accepts you for who you are. Anyone who doesn't is just a relative.
Keeping my fingers crossed that a good job comes your way
is it this friday coming, or Last friday
I hope things work out for you
If you need anything let me know

If your bro is paying for the lunch go and buy the most expensive stuff on the menu!
And, my friend, here's a thought. What if the pivotal moment in your relationship with your brother is when you visit mom's spot? What if you miss it because you already decided how it would go down? Enjoy the meal, ignore any lectures, be the brother he can't be (yet.) Miracles happen in families every day.
When you do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason--magic sometimes happens. If not, then you still did the next right thing...
Sharon, MommaSan, opened my eyes to that a couple months ago. We just do the Next Right Thing.
Happy Birthday you young and handsome punk! You happened, 43 years ago, for a reason. Get busy and figure out why, dude. Maybe you're the light or the mirror or the equalizer for your brother?
I'm glad you're here, and that we're friends.
Blessings on your Birthday Butt.
