Strange problem with Gather...

Is anyone else having the problem when you type into the search box gather.com that it does not take you directly to gather, but instead to google? I have to then click on gather's website. It has been doing this for awhile. It is not happening on my other sites, so I'm not sure!

 

Anyways, hopefully it will go back to normal! What did everyone do for the weekend?

That's been happening to me too. It takes me to the default search engine. It doesn't happen though if I type in www.gather.com. Weird.

I don't really use the search often, so I don't know if I'm having that trouble or not :(

Randall sort of what Lisa said. When I type in gather.com at the top of my internet search box it goes to a default search engine instead of directly to gather...

Hmmm... I'd say it's probably due to one of your own computer's "default settings"... Do you have the Google Tool Bar on your desktop? I'd be willing to BET that there's a little "catch" that happens when you download it (I always UNcheck the box that asks if I want the Google toolbar -- or any other toolbar -- for my desktop when I download anything) that always "defaults" back to Google for any "search" function...

I noticed something like that a while back when I was trying to find certain members specifically on Gather...probably some glitch!

Mine does that from time to time. I just favorited the log in page so now I don't have to go back and forth.

my pc goes to ask.com when i type in Gather.com... and i can only get to gather if I type in the entire url address: http://www.gather.com
and its annoying the crappola outta me!!

I occasionally use the search for a person and haven't had a problem. Tonight I clicked on your article to open and it took me to the page to invite friends to join Gather! That was pretty weird!

It may just be a little glitch considering that they are working on a new update. I haven't had any problem yet, but hopefully it will work for you next time.

If I type gather.com in my address bar it throws me out to a search engine from my cable company. It just started doing that a week or so ago.
