Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins

I know we've all been waiting with baited breath for the announcement.. okay, maybe not baited breath, but at least a faint interest.. of the birth of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins.  According to Yahoo, News! the actress gave birth to her 5-lb daughter, Vivienne  Marcheline, and her son, Knox Leon, at just over 5-lb, by Caesarean section on Saturday night, at a seaside Lenval hospital in Nice, France.  

Mom and babies are reported to be doing fine, "The obstetrician who delivered the twins, Dr. Michel Sussmann, told The Associated Press that the actress, the babies and Jolie's partner, Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well."

Whoever is lucky enough to get some of the first pictures of the new Jolie-Pitts is going to be rich, as they will, reportedly, be worth millions!  Makes ya wanna grab your camera and head to France, doesn't it!  LOL

Congratulations to them. I love the girls name as well. Sort of a mouthful like my name. :) I imagine they'll be able to pay for both kids' college education with 1 picture.

I had been waiting because we were due the same time. The only thing was that I lost my twin boys in March, so Angelina's twin pregnancy was always in my face in all the media and tabloids. It made me sad to hear that she finally had her babes, because I couldve been possibly having mine if they hadnt died. I wish her all of the happiness in the world.

Why does ANYONE care about the birth of Angelina's twins? It seems to be dominating the news here in Chicago today(slow news day?). I couldn't care less!!! I don't know her. And I don't understand why ANYONE cares about this! Why is it a news item?

I'm constantly stunned at what passes for "news". Why does anyone care about the mundane life experiences of people you don't even know? Is it a vicarious thing? Do you imagine yourself as a personal friend of these people despite the fact that you're NOT in their personal circle? If you were, surely you wouldn't need to depend on local news to find out what's going with them, right?

What's the deal????

Hmm...well, I really don't know Deena.. don't have an answer for ya. I guess it's just one of the great mysteries of life.. I try not to stress and think about these things too much. it hurts my brain. :O)
The named the daughter (Marcheline) after her late mother.

I knew she would pick a name for the boy with an "x" in it...because of the other boys, Maddox and Pax....but Knox??? ugh.

Yeah.. I don't like that one either.. but I don't like Maddox or Pax much either .. celebrities are strange when it comes to naming their kids, that's for sure! lol
