Wow I am so excited.... I just found out I have been nominated for an award at the upcoming South Valley Civic Theatre's Annual Member's 2007-2008 Choice Awards Ceremony, for my performance as the Beggar Woman, in last year's presentation of SCROOGE. As many of you know, and for those of you that don't, I tried my hand at acting the end of last year. I auditioned for SCROOGE and landed a part as the Beggar Woman. Little did I know that I would end up being nominated for an award. I had so much fun doing it and really got into my part. I had a great time! I am going to try out for IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, coming up around the Holidays and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN in 2009. I've been bitten by the theatre bug. I have been training as House Manager and that's another part of theatre that's fun to do. The House manager is in charge of all of the Ushers and has to make sure that the theatre is comfortable for all those who come to see the play. There are other duties involved too, but I don't want to get boring here! LOL.... The awards ceremony is going to be on August 16th.
