Stouffer's Chicken Alfredo
There's one thing you should know about me: I happen to be lazy! Because of this, frozen food ranks pretty high up on my scale of foods to prepare for my family. And when Gather offered me a free coupon , I was in heaven. Complete frozen dinners rate top on my list; but there are two main problems with frozen dinners and they happen to be inversely proportional. They either taste horrible or are full of so many unidentifiable ingredients and fat that they blow my concept of feeding my family healthy food.. But with Stouffers I have found something that breaks this trend --Stouffers to me is the holy grail of frozen dinners --
So off I went and bought some Stouffer's Chicken Alfredo because it's a full dinner and only has 2 servings per bag. It seemed to be calling my name in the freezer aisle the other day and it was on sale , even better, so I bought two to make it simple to feed my family and allow me more time to spend with them.. I happen to love Chicken Alfredo. I've ordered it at plenty of restaurants (O'Charleys, Bennigans, Olive Garden, Applebees Cracker Baarrell etc. ...) and it's almost always great.
You know those restaurants I just listed? Well this frozen Chicken Alfredo is better than the Chicken Alfredo any one of them serve. The chicken was all white meat and had a nice grilled flavor to it. The broccoli tasted super fresh -- it still had a nice crispness to it -- and it was all florets, not a single stem in the mixture. The sauce was nice and cheesy but not too heavy on the cheese or runny. . As I said, there are two servings per package. The picture to the left is exactly one serving. As you can see, they aren't too stingy with the size.
Stouffer's says: " Seasoned grilled white meat chicken in an alfredo sauce with garlic and black pepper. Served with penne pasta, broccoli, carrots, and peas."
