I am prompted to write this article and pose the question because it's the middle of summer here in Kansas and the current temperature is 52º! Is that crazy or what??
Which do you prefer....hot or cold weather?
Myself much prefer the heat. It's a lot easier for me to cool off than to warm up. I can always wear less clothing, have an ice cold drink, dunk in a pool etc to cool off.
When I am cold it takes a lot for me to warm up! I am currently in a long sleeve shirt, jeans, socks and tennis shoes. When I go outside for a smoke break I am wearing a jacket and still chilly.
Living in mom's basement it was really cold down here this past winter, even running a space heater. There is only one heater vent for the whole basement. (mom only keeps her thermostat on 66º in winter too) I started burning candles all around to help generate some heat and couldn't wait for warmer weather to get here and stay.
I sat down here at my desk a lot of the time wearing long johns under my clothes, a hat on my head and gloves on my hands while on my computer.
You should hear the thunder claps out there right now. Not looking like it will clear up by this evening.
The high for today is still showing 82º.

I'd rather it be cold because it's much easier to warm me up than it is to cool me off.
