I came to my gather friends to ask for a selfish prayer.
I woke up this morning and it's raining.....I mean downpouring out there!
We have family plans this evening to go to my boyfriends for a bbq and to swim. It wouldn't bother me but this is the first time in a very long time that my son, Johnathon, doesn't have to be at work until 8 PM instead of 5 PM. Meaning that he can finally do something fun with us as a family. I am really upset that it might get messed up.
The pool will be fine, it's covered as far as the rain that's happening now. And, honestly, as long as it stops raining long enough to cook the food I will be happy. My son is even supplying the pork chops. The rest of us are bringing whatever. It's just so rare that I can get all 4 of my children in one place at one time.
So......if you wouldn't mind sending up a plea for the rain to stop long enough for us to cook, I really would appreciate it. Thanks!
p.s. I'm sure we will find something to do if the rain doesn't stop.
