What would you do if you lost the love of your life? One of the most feared things in life, it could happen to anyone. But it doesn't happen to just anyone, it seems to happen to those who don't deserve it. Someone, like me. And it is that I can only see my love in the cold dark. A place I dare not want to tread. But I constantly find my self asking, would it be worth it just to see her again? To have her up against me again and share one last kiss? I have been dealing with this for only a month, but I know how it feels.
The story in turn, is a sad, dramatic, and quite unfair one, but I shall share it with you. Let's hop back to one month ago, the first night of what would begin as a long streak of insomnia, crying, and hopeless nights.
I just ran home after I seen the sight that would haunt my dreams. I was sweating, but also I was crying. How could something as terrible as that happen to a girl as sweet as her? I had to sit down. I found a chair in the study room of my house. It was littered with crumbled papers and cans of Red Bull. All of this could be seen with the dim light that was projecting off my computer screen. Before I got the call, I was typing on the computer. You see, I am an author. Or at least I used to be, before I ran out of ideas, but that isn't the point.
After staring at a blank screen for half an hour, my cell started to ring. I hesitated to pick it up. I was scared it was my agent, howling at me for the novel i promised him back in September. I finally got the nerve to pick it up. I looked at the ID, it was my girlfriend. I sighed with relief and answered, but before i could even say hello, i heard screaming.
Then, i heard, "Brian!" I was shaking my head, i have sensitive hearing, she knew it, but I finally said, "What's the matter, A-!" The screaming continued. From the static I was getting from the phone, I could hear that she was running. I was panicking. I yelled her name again. All I could hear was her footsteps. Then, I heard something else. There were footsteps following hers.
