Hey, I just found out you can lock gas prices at today's rate for up to a year. What you do is purchase gas in advance at the current rate, and via a pre-paid gas card, you've just standarized the price you pay for gas. I would take just 5 years ago prices, averaged about $1.50. sigh

Thanks for the info but it sounds too good to be true but I'll check it out on snopes.com just to be sure before I send any info to my parents or post anything on my facebook page or at my church and the library.

It definitely won't work. You can't lock a price on gas. It fluctuates too much.
This company wants to scam the consumers. Don't sign up for this.
If it sounds too good to be true..

I too have seen information on many of these places on Dateline that showed how they're scamming. The other part is, they want huge payments up front for most of them and they're only available in limited, very large cities.

Interesting - and a good rule of thumb is NOT to trust stuff that sounds so awfully good, without research through reliable resources.
