One of the many nice things for me about living here in Myrtle Beach is the ability to go to the beach any time. We can be there in just fifteen minutes or so and one of our favorite spots to go is the Myrtle Beach State Park which I write a lot about. DH and I decided to go after dinner last night and I had some fun with my camera. I thought I'd share some of the images with all of you.
I wanted to get some photos of a real pretty sunset. The weather wasn't cooperating though so I decided to just have fun and get what I could.
I have seen so many ingenious photos here where people really have great imaginations when shooting a photo. So here is an example of where my imagination took me.
To set this up for you is the following photo. The tide is coming in and this is how the beach looks as the water recedes back into the ocean after coming up on shore. The sun is slowly going down so the beach looks different at nigh and I think it is really pretty.

Most of the sun bathers have left for the day and all you have on the beach are people like us who just love to take a stroll and watch the sunset.

So, I'm hoping for a beautiful and colorful sunset that is so common here when I leave for our walk. Doesn't look like that's going to happen tonight. However, I just loved the reflection in the sand as the water retreats into the ocean. It has it's own kind of beauty and is just as lovely to me as a big brilliant sunset.

The forecast is for some much needed rain and by the looks of the clouds rolling in, they just may be right.
After seeing the sun beautifully reflected in the sand I get an idea.

Using DH as my subject I get him to move around and start shooting some photos to see what comes out.

This is my favorite! If I wasn't afraid of him becoming impatient I would have fooled around a little more and tried to get a perfect half and half photo, but I didn't want to press my luck.

I did press my luck though to get just one more:) He's really a good sport!
These are my first photos where I just let my mind wander and took photos to see what came out. I hope you like them too.
