A couple events of note this weekend:
Collinsville, Illinois' World's Largest Catsup Bottle Festival Car, Truck and Bike Show and Cruise-A-Palooza is being held this Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13, at American Legion Post 365, 1022 Vandalia. Both days start out at 10am. There will be food vendors, bands, entertainment, kids activities, and the Princess Tomato and Sir Catsup Contests. The Cruise-A-Palooza Run starts at 4pm. Car show registration is 10am to 1pm Sunday.
Chester. A French and Indian War military reenactment is being held Saturday and Sunday, Jul 12-13, at Fort Kaskaskia State Historic Site near Chester. Featured will be period infantry, cavalry, and artillery units. No specific battle events are scheduled. Free parking. Events start at 9am daily, end at 6pm Saturday and noon Sunday.
