Joke - The Old Gunny and Poker Night

The "Old Corps" Marines got together at The Old Gunny's to play poker one night.

After about four hours of drinking and playing, "The Top" grabbed his chest and violently slumped over.

The Old Master Chief was a Navy corpsman and, to everybody's shock, pronounced that the poor Top had died of a heart attack.

They raised a glass To The Top! Semper Fi! - resumed the game, and split his pot.

As they prepared to conclude for the evening, the subject came up: how to break the news to his wife.

Finally, The Old Gunny said: "I guess I can break the news gently."

The Old Gunny's phoned The Top's house. When his wife answered, The Old Gunny calmly said to her: "The Top just gambled with us and lost 27,000 bucks and change."

The Top's wife yelled: "Tell him I'll never forgive him for as long as he lives! Tell him to drop dead!"

The The Old Gunny answered: "Okay. I'll tell him. Goodbye."
