The Importance of Truth

The best indicator of a loving relationship is TRUTH. Not half-truths. But the whole truth.

If you cannot trust someone with your truth, how can you possibly trust him with your heart?

If a relationship is not based on truth, then it is based on a lie.

Quite simply, that means the relationship is not real.

You can pretend it is real, but your heart will always know the truth...and that longing for more will always be there.

The person you are...your TRUE self...will continue to cry out for love...for someone to be true with.

Why not take the risk of being true from the beginning?

Why would you want to waste your time with a person you do not trust to love the ugly, broken down parts of who you are?

You can hide the truth from others, but you can never hide it from yourself.

The ugly part will always be there, screaming for acceptance and love.

Walk in truth, and you will never lose yourself.

Better yet, whoever comes to love you will be loving the REAL you.

It just doesn't get any better than that.

You make some great points. Today in summer school, I asked the kids what qualities are better than loyalty in a friend...they could not come up with anything because loyalty encompasses it all....

I shall never forget the honesty I shared with a man named Larry. Our relationship beat out most marriages and never faltered. It was the complete unvarnished truth that kept it alive and kicking. Thanks for a great article.

Ultimately Truth is the unconditional love of God and that in the whole universe, when realized it is like the light that displaces darkness, joy displacing sadness and love displacing fear ... Self relating with self ... :-)

I totally agree. One cannot expect a real relationship when too much of either isleft out whih to me is a lie. A half or partial truth is a lie.

Tell me, how do you convince someone, give them proof that what you are telling them is the truth. Skepticism has grown and quite honestly, I have been truthful but proof is needed to start the trust. Any suggestions. ????
