This week, I stumbled upon a beautiful poem about rainbows by Sandra Lewis Pringle called "If I Could Catch a Rainbow".

As you'll see by reading and viewing our winning poems, pictures, and articles, rainbows mean many things to many people.

For me, the words of this poem summed up my myriad feelings on rainbows perfectly.

I hope you enjoy it, and our winning entries, as much as I did.
Thanks to each of you for sharing the beauty of your rainbows with me, and as you so often do, chasing away my blues.

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
And share with its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them into the sea
But all these things I'm finding
Are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best
A friend that's always there.

My "night rainbow" was the same subject as my 7th place winning photo... it was lying across the top of the spa and we had just re-wired the lighting and been able to turn on the spa light (and NOT the pool light too) for the first time, so the soft light was shining through the raft. I just thought it was an intriguing photo; reminded me of a caterpillar or something.
Thanks
