I'm a woman
You're a woman
Let's discuss life,
A journey from a swollen belly
To the life's blood
Waiting to celebrate.
Loving with whole heart
Standing far from the receiving end
Raising the standards,
Ignoring ours
Hiding pain
Spreading slices of sacrifice.
Binding other's wound
With the magical herbs
from our gardens,
Arms open wide
Embracing even the ugly days
Like beautiful blessings.
Come my sweet little girl
We'll serve an imaginary tea
Plant a tree of freedom,
Knocking the door of feminism
Rehearsing for a surreal world.
I'm a woman
You're a woman
Let's discuss life.

Hey Janet, I am smiling:)You added spices here.Lovely!!!
You connect all of us.
Your spirit reigns throughout this work. All the best of the life of a woman, spelled out here, and giving it, as a painful gift of love, to the next itteration...
I remember these walks with "my girls."
Blessings (write often, and write much.)

I have to agree, yes, what a surreal world we women must cope with!
We share what we are with the women who follow us--all that we have learned from the women who went before us.
I don't have the words to express how lovely this poem is to me.
