By The Sea

All of my troubles seem so small

As I view the vastness of the sea

The thunder of the pounding surf

Powerful, yet yielding to the soft sand

Treasures brought to the shore

Beautiful shells that she offers

Warm sun on my face

Gentle breeze through my hair

Surrounded by her winged friends

The gulls seem to laugh with joy

Hidden beneath the surface

Host to a magnitude of life

Beautiful creatures both large and small

Coral that seems to breathe with her every movement

By the sea is where I go

To feel life's magic

I get that same feeling at the ocean. We go a rocky spot where mostly fishermen go, to avoid the crowds.

Robin,

In Cape May NJ, near where the ferry goes out...
There is a long jetty... all big rocks..
Sounds like what you explained.

I love to walk to the end of it.. and just sit there and watch the ferry as it goes out and comes in.
It's very relaxing..
Yes, I'm a dork... I wave to the people onboard as they leave.. lol

That also holds it's magic, to me.

Grea poem honey, I love your thoughts on the sea and the fact that we think of it very much in the same way. In fact I love your thoughts on most all things. Thanks for posting that picture of a young, beautiful and intelligent lady named Terry on the beach. Although in my eyes you are still a young, beautiful and very intelligent lady named Terry. In fact although in the physical sense you may not be as young you are still very youthful and I think that you are also MORE Beautiful and more intelligent as you go on. I have learned a lot from being with you, and I love every minute of it!!!

Maybe if we get a nice day tomorrow we'll make it down to look at that ocean either in Cape May or Ocean City!

I just came to return a comment. It didn't occur to me that you're THE Terry until I saw the commentator above. I share your love for the sea, but that's where it begins and ends, if you catch that wave.
